A scan failed — what to do
Why scans fail and how credits are handled.
A scan is marked failed if too many of its points error out after retries (usually a temporary upstream issue or rate limit). When that happens, the credits for the scan are automatically refunded.
What to try
- Re-run the scan — transient errors usually clear on a retry.
- Reduce the grid size or widen the spacing if you’re scanning a very large, dense area.
- If it keeps failing, contact support with the scan details.
